This illustrates very well what the result of the reopening of the crossing of Rua Ramiro Barcelos Protásio Alves Avenue, closed for 15 years. At the time, we must remember, as a deeply angry neighborhood community and the entire city. At that time, marketers and Ramiro Protásio shouted his impending bankruptcy by the absence of traffic flow, which would hinder the access of their clients. They said the street would become a recreation area. This did not occur. What we have seen, only, was the bottleneck of traffic on a larger scale is disposed on Avenida Venancio Aires and in the streets Felipe Figueiredo Shrimp and Benedict, a detour motorists to follow quickly identified by Ramiro towards Castelo Branco.
Now, when the Executive finally, better late than never, gives the plunge and recognizes that the traffic flows better with the opening of the crossing, a few voices echo to criticize the initiative.
